Okay, so the story starts a bit slow. However, once Sage goes with the
army on a mission as the Queen's son tutor the adventure starts to once
again pick up speed. In this book, we finally get to see that not too
long ago, all three kingdoms used to be amicable towards each other. But
now there is just a lot of serious issues between them. And, this is
where Sage comes in and kind of becomes a peacemaker (or really tries to
be). Will she succeed? I liked how we learn more about the background
of the kingdoms and how they are more similar than they thought. What
will happen next? I hope we get to learn more about Captain Huzar and
the Kimisara kingdom.

The Traitor's Kiss (The Traitor's Circle, #1) by Erin Beaty
Mystery, action, and deceit! With this book, at first I noticed a few
readers were uncomfortable on how some characters were portrayed. So, I
started reading it with a bit of apprehension. However, what I saw were
characters who were all unique with their own stories and who came from
different places that in the end would intertwine with each other in one
way or another. One example is Captain Quinn and his family (You'll see
if you give it a chance). The story revolves around a girl named Sage
who is not able to match to a husband and instead becomes a
matchmaker-in-training. From there on, she is part of a group of girls
who are headed to get marry, which includes soldiers too (Captain
Quinn!!), when they become stuck in the middle of a fight between
factions. However, Sage, the main heroine, is not afraid to fight back
against a plot from within to take over the kingdom. Overall, a good YA
fantasy book with quite a few surprising twists.
