Midnight Thief (Midnight Thief, #1) by Livia Blackburne

Midnight Thief is a very interesting original YA fantasy story. It does hold your attention and you want to know what happens next which helps you keep reading till the end. The only thing is that throughout the story I felt a bit bad for Kyra, the main heroine. Like I still don't really know what her purpose is or what she is fighting for. She does have a good heart, she tries to help the people around her, but it seems that she quickly falls and trusts groups that later..... (you'll see), where in the end you're like oh no she can't catch a break with any of them (why?!). I hope in the next book we finally get to meet people without any hidden intentions that will help Kyra and her family, and I can't wait to learn more about her mysterious past. :)

Before She Ignites (Fallen Isles Trilogy #1) by Jodi Meadows

What a story! It has a unique heroine and yes, dragons! The book is from Mira's point of view, and for that reason I think it helps you to slowly come to understand why Mira is the way she is. And yes, sometimes she was making decisions where you were like "oh no" or "why?", but you also start seeing Mira become stronger and stronger until you're like OMG, is it too late for her to fight back? I can't wait to read book two. :)

This is a YA series that I totally recommend everyone to read! Amani's story is one of the best heroine stories I've read so far. Even though, most of the time her life was at risk, in all three books she kept going and fighting for what was right. Yes, she was afraid, but in her own way she never faltered. What an original character she was. And, omg! The suspense in this book was there from beginning to end. Also, the love between Amani and Jin, wow! One of the best book couples ever! Overall, I loved the whole series. It was bittersweet in a way to reach the ending, but what a perfect ending it was!
