Size 12 Is Not Fat (Heather Wells, #1) by Meg Cabot

Cute book! Loved both the mystery and the humor found in this story. I can't wait to see what happens next! Great book to read during winter break. :)

The Return (The After Trilogy, #2) by Kelly St. Clare

Seriously! I couldn't stop reading this book until the end. Romy is back and she has a few surprises with her (Oh my!). Totally like the way she's growing emotionally, and the way she protects her knot and the people around her who are fighting evil forces both on earth and in the sky. Definitely reading book three!

I just loved it! The story grabs your attention from page one. Romy and her friends are great. So much drama, action, and suspense! And the mysterious soldier, oh my! I can't wait to read book two!

The Norm (The Glitches, #3) by Ramona Finn

Lib was finally able to find out the answers on many of the questions that she had about the AI, the norm, and her own origins. And we finally got to see more interactions between Lib and Wolf (aaawwww!). A solid finish to Lib's story!

Atlas Fallen (Cyber Crown #1) by Jessica Pierce

Seriously, a captivating, original SF story since the beginning. I just loved the whole concept of the book. From the space station setting, to a girl who won't stop looking for clues to what really happened to her father no matter the difficulties, and to the mysterious boy she finds along the way in her quite crazy adventure. I can't wait to read book two. :)

The Traitor's Ruin (The Traitor's Circle, #2) by Erin Beaty

Okay, so the story starts a bit slow. However, once Sage goes with the army on a mission as the Queen's son tutor the adventure starts to once again pick up speed. In this book, we finally get to see that not too long ago, all three kingdoms used to be amicable towards each other. But now there is just a lot of serious issues between them. And, this is where Sage comes in and kind of becomes a peacemaker (or really tries to be). Will she succeed? I liked how we learn more about the background of the kingdoms and how they are more similar than they thought. What will happen next? I hope we get to learn more about Captain Huzar and the Kimisara kingdom.

The Traitor's Kiss (The Traitor's Circle, #1) by Erin Beaty

Mystery, action, and deceit! With this book, at first I noticed a few readers were uncomfortable on how some characters were portrayed. So, I started reading it with a bit of apprehension. However, what I saw were characters who were all unique with their own stories and who came from different places that in the end would intertwine with each other in one way or another. One example is Captain Quinn and his family (You'll see if you give it a chance). The story revolves around a girl named Sage who is not able to match to a husband and instead becomes a matchmaker-in-training. From there on, she is part of a group of girls who are headed to get marry, which includes soldiers too (Captain Quinn!!), when they become stuck in the middle of a fight between factions. However, Sage, the main heroine, is not afraid to fight back against a plot from within to take over the kingdom. Overall, a good YA fantasy book with quite a few surprising twists.

The Empties (The Glitches, #2) by Ramona Finn

Lib is back on her quest to discover a way to bring down the AI that's trying to take over earth. As she ventures into The Empties she starts to find out about the past and how the cities used to be before the catastrophe happened. She wants to know why the AI is not doing it's purpose anymore of helping the survivors. Of course, as she gets closer to the truth and needs help, the group she is part of is again hesitant to help her (Bird is still not that nice. Why?!!!!) Lib is literally trying to save lives. However, she keeps going and meets a new group ( Quite interesting and original they are). What is going on? I'm still a bit confused. I hope in the final book the questions surrounding her finally get closure.

The Glitch (The Glitches, #1) by Ramona Finn

Okay, so its starts a bit slow, but as the story continues, the suspense starts to pick up. The story of Lib was original and the character herself was interesting. However, the group Lib becomes part of is kind of mean from the beginning. Lib kept asking why, and their answers never made sense. She kept trying to explain how everybody could work together and it seemed they just didn't want to listen. (AAHHH!) . Hope their group accepts each other by the next book. Overall, an original SF young adult book. :)

Midnight Thief (Midnight Thief, #1) by Livia Blackburne

Midnight Thief is a very interesting original YA fantasy story. It does hold your attention and you want to know what happens next which helps you keep reading till the end. The only thing is that throughout the story I felt a bit bad for Kyra, the main heroine. Like I still don't really know what her purpose is or what she is fighting for. She does have a good heart, she tries to help the people around her, but it seems that she quickly falls and trusts groups that later..... (you'll see), where in the end you're like oh no she can't catch a break with any of them (why?!). I hope in the next book we finally get to meet people without any hidden intentions that will help Kyra and her family, and I can't wait to learn more about her mysterious past. :)

Before She Ignites (Fallen Isles Trilogy #1) by Jodi Meadows

What a story! It has a unique heroine and yes, dragons! The book is from Mira's point of view, and for that reason I think it helps you to slowly come to understand why Mira is the way she is. And yes, sometimes she was making decisions where you were like "oh no" or "why?", but you also start seeing Mira become stronger and stronger until you're like OMG, is it too late for her to fight back? I can't wait to read book two. :)

Hero at the Fall (Rebel of the Sands, #3) by Alwyn Hamilton

April 6, 2018

This is a YA series that I totally recommend everyone to read! Amani's story is one of the best heroine stories I've read so far. Even though, most of the time her life was at risk, in all three books she kept going and fighting for what was right. Yes, she was afraid, but in her own way she never faltered. What an original character she was. And, omg! The suspense in this book was there from beginning to end. Also, the love between Amani and Jin, wow! One of the best book couples ever! Overall, I loved the whole series. It was bittersweet in a way to reach the ending, but what a perfect ending it was!
