Since the beginning, the mystery involving the death of Rachel grabs
your attention. Jaycee doesn't really believe what her town, including
the police, says about why her friend died (wow, so many people were so
mean). Instead, she keeps searching for answers to find out the truth.
Her small town is not as perfect as it seems. An interesting YA story.

Murder at the Vicarage (Miss Marple #1) by Agatha Christie
The first Miss Marple mystery! As soon as I got it from my local
library, I started to read it. It started out a bit slow, but as always a
Miss Marple mystery is a mystery that keeps you guessing throughout the
story. Great winter break book!
*Book through the local library. :)

Nemesis by Agatha Christie
A Miss Marple Mystery! Perfect reading for a long weekend. And because
it is a Miss Marple mystery, the setting was cozy and deadly at the same
time. Yikes!

Traitor to the Throne (Rebel of the Sands, #2) by Alwyn Hamilton
Amani's journey continues in book two, and wow, the surprises and the
plot twists came from everywhere. In some parts, I was laughing and in
other parts trying not to scream and cry. Amani, even though she is
still learning and growing as she follows the rebellion, is still the
strong heroine from book one who tries to help in whatever she can. And
the supporting characters, especially from the rebellion side, still
rock! Amani's adventure from beginning to end was full of twists and
suspense, and of course, action.

Rebel of the Sands (Rebel of the Sands, #1) by Alwyn Hamilton
Amani rocks!!!!!! This book starts with mystery and intrigue and ends
the same way! The way the ending scenes were described felt as if you
were watching an action movie. This book had it all, mystery, action,
suspense, drama, and romance (Oh my, Jin!). All the characters in this
story were quite captivating in their own way. I can't wait to read the
second book!

After the Woods by Kim Savage
4 out of 5.
After the Woods was quite suspenseful and mysterious since the beginning. Julia, a year after a very traumatic experience, starts to remember what happened to her out in the woods. And what she starts to learn shocks her when she realizes it's not as black and white as it seemed at first glance. Totally recommend this YA drama/mystery story.

Overall, it was a good read. However, compared to the first one, the book started a little bit slow. As Kat's journey progressed, it did get much better, though. I don't know if it was all the OMG moments at the beginning where Kat couldn't believe that she was a princess, or how beautiful something was, or how rich Edward was. But as soon as those moments passed, Kat became the heroine from the first book that cared about the lives of the people around her, especially the children. And, the ending, whoa! Can't wait to read the next book!

Rivals in the City (The Agency, #4) by Y.S. Lee

Mary Quinn is back! And, of course James! Someone from the past resurfaces and back they go to solve the mystery before the situation worsens. Along the way, Mary Quinn gets quite an emotional surprise (Nice little twist, especially when it's about her family. Yay!) Not quite suspenseful like the first ones. However, this book is more like coming full circle in Mary Quinn's adventures as a detective. I will miss reading this series. Hope that one day Mary Quinn's stories continue.

The mystery in this book begins from the first few chapters. The way it unfolds holds your attention until the final chapters that were quite suspenseful. Will definitely read the next book in this YA series.

Once again the chasing starts with the Fortune team. The team in this book is investigating the killing of alligators and a few secrets are revealed that are quite close to one of members of the team. For fans of this series, this book is quite funny, and as always, it grabs your attention from beginning to end. I can't wait to read the next book. :)
