Cress (The Lunar Chronicles #3) by Marissa Meyer

November 13, 2015

Ohhhh, wow! I literally didn’t sleep until I finished this book (I was so tired the next day, yikes), and now I’m going to start reading the last book of this amazing YA SF series. The story continues with Cinder trying to prevail to save the world, including Luna, from Queen Levana (Go Cinder! Still my favorite character in the series :), however, it also adds Cress and Carswell Thorne’s perspectives into this very suspenseful adventure from outer space to Africa, and back to New Beijing (Cress was such a positive person and Thorne, of course, funny as always). Totally recommend this book.

Shucked by Megg Jensen

November 10, 2015

This is the story of Tabitha, a fifteen-year-old who used to travel the world with her mom, but now has to adjust to a completely new way of life. A life with her grandparents on their farm. But that's not all, she also starts to look for clues on a mystery that she finds herself in when she receives a package from her mom. The only slight issues with the story were with the sometimes confusing small gaps in the plot, especially surrounding the mystery and her parents, and when it came to the ending. It just stopped abruptly. But, Shucked was still a funny and original story to read.
